At Duke Studios Detroit, our team is the driving force behind our mission to empower artists and foster community creativity. Comprised of experienced educators, accomplished artists, and skilled professionals, each member brings a unique perspective and dedication to their role. From fine arts instruction to community engagement, marketing innovation, and financial oversight, our team collaborates to create opportunities for learning, growth, and artistic expression. With decades of combined expertise and a passion for the arts, we are committed to providing accessible programs and inspiring environments for students and community members in the Martin Park District and beyond.

Odette Duke-Washington
B.A., M.A.T.
Founder and C.E.O.

Odette L. Duke-Washington, artist, educator, founder of Duke Studios Detroit, LLC, and CEO of Duke Studios Detroit Center for the Arts non-profit organization, is best described as a forward-thinking artist and educator. A native of the Dominican Republic, Mrs. Duke-Washington moved to Detroit as an immigrant via New York City in 1980.

Jennifer P. Duke

Director of Marketing

A graduate of Howard University, Jennifer is a Director of Marketing and talent manager where she spearheads marketing campaign strategies for management clients and brand partnerships across digital, sales, radio (traditional, online streaming, satellite), and touring.

Harrison R. Duke III
B.S., M.A.T., M.Ed.
Chief Financial Officer

With over 30 years of accounting experience, Harrison R. Duke III holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing with an emphasis on accounting and finance from Hampton University, a Master’s in Educational Administration from Marygrove College, a Master’s in Vocational Education from Wayne State University, and a Master’s in Curriculum from Eastern Michigan University.

Michelle Parizon
B.A., M.A.
Director of Community Engagement

For more than 25 years, Michelle’s work in marketing, communication, and education has significantly influenced the culture and climate of the organizations she has served. She delivers college readiness programming to non-profit organizations and is a passionate advocate for uplifting young people throughout the community. Her most recent endeavors with the BUILD Institute, The Greening of Detroit, and Pulsebeat Media have made notable impacts within the City of Detroit.
