Crafting Community Art: Our Collaborative Creative Process

At Duke Studios Detroit, we bring art visions to life through a thoughtful, collaborative process. Our work begins with designing a composition that reflects your creative vision, followed by a professionally guided artistic experience. With a mix of instructional workshops and hands-on art-making, your team actively participates in crafting meaningful projects. Once completed, our skilled artists add the final touches, ensuring a polished and impactful piece. The journey concludes with the installation of your artwork, transforming communal spaces into vibrant expressions of creativity and community. Here’s How It Works

Your installation will be constructed from high quality industrial materials and can weather all interior and exterior elements. All installations will be custom fabricated to fit the size of your individual space.

Our Team will create a custom design for your project that meets your organization’s satisfaction. Your design will display a visual narrative that is unique to your group. Design intricacies range from very detailed realistic images to basic graphic shapes and icons.

Phase One: Identify Your Vision/Create a Design
Our Creative Director will consult with your team to produce a design composition which encompasses elements and images that represent the vision for your final installation. A draft will be created and presented to your group for final approval.

Phase Two: Set a Date and Create
Once your team has approved the design composition, we will schedule your artistic experience dates. Your experience will be managed by a professional artist. Our experts will begin your session with a 60-minute instructional workshop that covers the basic technical applications needed to create your art project. Upon completion of your workshop, your group will begin the process of art making.

Phase Three: The Professional Polish
When your session has concluded, your project will be transferred to Duke Studios where a team of professional artists will complete and prepare your artwork for installation.

Phase Four: The Grand Finale
After your project has been completed, we will install your art project in your communal space.

The Lofts @ Duke Studio

The Loft at Duke Studios provides 1800 sq. ft. of exhibition and event space. Fine and Performing artists as well as community members and organizations are welcome to a newly renovated space. Our events’ coordinator is highly skilled with an impeccable record that establishes and maintains relationships with vendors, exhibitors, and community liaisons.
